Reset.

I am back. On weight watchers I lost approximately 17 pounds. I did not do a very good tracking or taking photos or measuring myself, so sometimes it's hard to see the progress, however I do know that I have gone from a size 10 to a size 8, that clothes that were once too tight are now a perfect fit, and that I still receive comments. It's still not enough, I want to see better numbers so I see January 1st as a reset to my weight loss. My goal is to get down to 130 pounds by my birthday. What a great present that would be.

I have not been a "good" weight watcher since last August before my trip to Israel, although I feel fortunate that I have maintained, mostly, without the plan. Right now I am sitting at 142 pounds. I joined something called the "cupid challenge" with a goal of losing 6 pounds by Valentine's day, placing me at 136. I had a knee injury and cannot exercise the way that I used to which I used as an excuse to give up, however, it's not a good enough excuse to remain inactive. My goal is to focus on a gentler fitness plan. Although I miss my aerobics classes a lot, I plan to start walking, swimming, and doing yoga/pilates at least 3 times a week. Maybe I should take some swimming classes. Anyway, here's to a newer/slimmer year. 2008 has been amazing and I have met almost all of my goals. Can't wait to see what's in store for 2009.

Uh oh!

So this was my first real week of actually tracking everything and being seriously good with the weight watchers. And then I went to a potluck and drank too much wine and ate too much food and I am over 10 points for the week. Dammit! Well it's a learning curve. When I did WW round 1 this year I went over a lot the first weeks too. Here's to week 2. It will be better this time.
